Shab E Meraj 2025 Date in Pakistan – Shab e Miraj History

Every year, Muslims around the world celebrate Shab e Meraj/Israa’ and Mi’raj at sunset on 27 Rajab, which falls on January 27, 2025 in Pakistan this year.

About Shab e Meraj

The Shab e Meraj, virtue or worship of Shab-e-Miraj is an important question that is often asked online and by Islamic scholars. If someone says that Shab-e-Miraj is one of the best nights in Muslim history and no one can deny it. Even no sect of Islam can deny it because it is directly related to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

This is the best night and the best evening to distribute money to the needy. It is a kind and focused mindset to get an idea of the Nawafil of Shab-e-Miraj before nightfall. But if you still miss it, I would like to share it with you guys.

Shab E Meraj History

The Night Journey, also known as Shab-e-Miraj, Israa, and Mi’raj or Al-Israa wa’l-Mi’raj, is celebrated on the 27th of the holy month of Rajab (the seventh month of the Islamic calendar). The literal translation of Shab-e-Mi’raj is the Night of Ascension.

This event is celebrated on the night when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) ascended to heaven from the Grand Mosque in Mecca. One of the great gifts of that night was that the obligation of Salat (obligatory prayer) was established upon Muslims. Like other events and occasions in the blessed life of our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the night journey is a rich source of inspiration and lessons for all humanity.

This miraculous journey of Me’raj was in two parts. First, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) traveled from Mecca (the Kaaba) to Jerusalem (the Al-Aqsa Mosque) and then ascended to heaven by the command of Allah.

The night began with the visit of the chief of all angels, Gabriel, to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He then took Muhammad from the Sacred Mosque (Kaaba) to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. This part of the journey of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is described in the Holy Quran:

“Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from Al-Masjid Al-Haram to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, the vicinity of which We have blessed, that He might show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” (Surah Al-Isra’ 1:17)

The mode of transportation used for this journey at midnight was a horse-like animal called Al-Barq, which Allah Almighty sent from Jannah (Paradise). After riding this celestial mount, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reached Masjid Al-Haram to Masjid Al-Aqsa in just a second.

Upon reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw that all the prophets who had come before him (peace be upon him) were present there. These prophets included Abraham (peace be upon him), Isra (peace be upon him), Moses (peace be upon him) and all the other prophets. Here, Muhammad (peace be upon him) prayed two rak’ahs of prayer of all the prophets.

Then two cups were brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). One cup was filled with wine and the other with milk. He looked at them and chose milk. Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him:

“Praise be to Allah, Who guided you to the fitrah (purity and innocence). If you had loved wine, your nation would have gone astray”. (An-Nisa: 5657)

Shab e Meraj Amal

There are many Shab e Meraj Amal or virtues in fasting on the night of Miraj. Like other acts of worship, Muslims are encouraged to fast the next day. Miraj is celebrated on this night. Zakat Nisab 2024 in Pakistan

The Zakat Nisab 2024 in Pakistan (minimum amount to pay zakat) for the year 2024/1445 hijri is Rs. 135,179 which is fixed by State Bank of Pakistan and if you have more cash or assets than this amount, then you can calculate your Zakat and pay.

Zakat On Gold

Zakat is applicable if your annual saving is equal to or more than 7.5 tolas of gold or 52.5 tolas of silver. Mandi Bahauddin Ramadan Calendar 2024

How to calculate Zakat

To calculate Zakat you have to add the financial value of all liable assets. Only those assets that have been in your possession for at least one year should be included for Zakat. Dues are also calculated and deducted from the total and 2.5% of the final amount is given.

Example:

For example, you have 100 grams of gold, 5 lakhs in cash, lend someone PKR 1 lakh, and owe someone else PKR 50,000. You will calculate Zakat as follows:

  • 1 gram of 22 carat gold = Rs.  9,869.51/
  • 100 grams of 22 carat gold = Rs. 9,869,510/
  • Cash = Rs. 500,000/
  • Loans to others = Rs. 100,000/
  • Total Assets = Rs. 10,469,510/
  • Zakat = Total Assets – Liabilities
  • 10,469,510 – 50,000 (the loan amount you owe) = 10,419,510
  • 10,419,510 is the monetary value of the total asset that you have. Now the Zakat due is 2.5% of this amount and it will be 260,487.75 rupees.

Who is eligible for zakat

Individuals who own 3 ounces or 85.04 grams of gold or more are eligible to pay Zakat. Only assets that have been in your possession for at least one lunar year should be calculated for Zakat.

Zakat Deduction Date 2024

According to the rules, zakat is deducted from customers’ savings bank accounts, profit and loss sharing accounts and other similar account on 1st Ramadan every year. Current accounts in banks are exempt from this deduction.

Shab e Barat 2024 – Know everything about Chand, Date, History

Shab e Barat, or the 15th night of Sha’ban, is one of the most auspicious and auspicious nights of the Islamic calendar. Muslims all over the world celebrate this night with devotion and respect. It is an important night for prayer, supplication, Nawafil and Istighfar and has immense merit for Muslims.

Shab e Barat 2024 date in Pakistan

Shab-e-Barat is celebrated on the night of 15th Shaban in the Islamic calendar. Since Islamic dates are based on the sighting of the moon, the exact date of Shab-e-Barat varies between countries and regions. This year, Shab e Barat will be celebrated in Pakistan on February 25, 2024 (Sunday).

What happened on Shab e Barat and what is its history?

The history of Shab-e-Barat on the night of 15th Sha’ban begins from the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which was narrated by Hazrat Ayesha (RA) in this tradition.

“The 15th night of Sha’ban was my night and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, was with me. When midnight came, I could not find him. Then the pride that grips women took hold of me and I put on my cloak and began to look for him in the rooms of his wives. I did not find him and returned to my room where I suddenly found him dropping a piece of cloth and saying in prostration:

My body and shadow bow down to you, my heart believes in you. These are my hands and I have committed no crime against myself with them. O Ghalib, from whom help is hoped for in every work. O Mighty One, forgive the great sin. My face bows down to the One who created it and created its hearing and sight.

Shab E Meraj Date in Pakistan – When and how is it celebrated?

Then he raised his head and then returned to prostration and said:

I seek refuge in You from Your displeasure with Your pleasure, seek refuge in Your forgiveness from Your punishment and seek refuge in You from Your Self, so it is as if You praise Yourself. I say as my brother Dawud (peace be upon him) said: I put my face in the dust for my master, every right for Him is that He is prostrated to.

Then he raised his head and said:

“O Allah, grant me a pious heart that is free from evil, neither hard nor evil.”

Then he turned and got into the blanket with me, and I was breathing heavily. He said:

What are these breaths coming, O Humira?

I told him, and he put his hands on my knees and said:

“How sad what those two knees had to endure that night.” This night is the 15th night of Sha’ban, in which Allah Almighty descends from the sky to the world and forgives His servants except the polytheists and those who hold grudges.

In short, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) explained the extra significance of this night by his own actions. Nothing special happened that night. Rather, Allah bestows a special status on whatever night He wills. It is His way of giving opportunities to His servants to approach Him and seek His pleasure.
