Saudi Arabia Has Announced To End Passport Sticker Visa System

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has started removing visa stickers from passports of 12 countries including Pakistan.

According to Arab media, the e-Visa of Saudi Arabia will now be issued with a QR code instead of a sticker on the passport. The Saudi Civil Aviation Department has informed all airlines operating flights at Saudi airports about this in writing.

New visa system in Pakistan 24 July 2023, Yemen 26 July, Sudan 2 August, Uganda 7 August, Lebanon 9 August, Nepal 14 August, Turkey 16 August, Sri Lanka 21 August, Kenya 23 August, Morocco 28 August, Thailand 30 August , and will enter into force in Vietnam on September 4, 2023.

Visitors Can Stay In The UAE For Up To 90 Days

According to the Civil Aviation Department, instead of the visa sticker on the passport, the visa will be printed on an A4 paper in which the information related to the passenger will be entered. Whereas previously issued sticker visas will be effective.

According to the new system, an e-Visa will be issued with a QR code instead of a sticker on the passport for a visit or transit. In the first phase, e-Visa system was implemented in 7 countries including United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia and Philippines.
