The government has further reduced the prices of petroleum products by a small margin, and the Ministry of Energy has issued a notification in this regard.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the prices of petroleum products based on the mechanism established by the federal government.
According to the notification, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 1.89 per liter; with this reduction, the price per liter now stands at Rs 400.35.
The price of petrol has been reduced by a mere 14 paisa, and the new price has been set at 387 rupees and 40 paisa per liter. The new prices for petroleum products will come into effect on October 1, 2026.
The notification states that the revision in the prices of petroleum products was made due to the situation in the global market. Global events, product rates, and changes in premiums influenced the price determination.
