The United Arab Emirates has announced further tightening of visa rules. Restrictions on those traveling on visit visas have been further tightened.
According to Arab media, heavy fines will be imposed for giving work to those coming to the UAE on a visit visa. There will be a fine of 10,000 dirhams for giving work to a visit visa holder. Those who work illegally can be sentenced to imprisonment.
According to the report, altering residence documents can lead to imprisonment of up to 10 years. Violating residency laws will result in a fine of between 100,000 and 5 million dirhams.
