Punjab Govt Announces Revised Office Timings For Ramadan

As the nation prepares for prayers and other religious engagements ahead of Ramzan, the Punjab govt Announces revised Office Timings For Ramadan 2023.

The Service and General Administration Department (S&GAD) recently issued a circular outlining the office hours for the holy month of Ramadan. As per notification of S&GAD, office hours during Ramadan for 6 days a week will be from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, the office working timings will be from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Similarly, office hours during Ramadan for 5 days a week will be from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. On Friday, the office working timings will be from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

When the month of Ramadan comes to an end, these times will automatically revert to the pre-Ramadan times. Muslims in Pakistan and the rest of the world celebrate the month of Ramadan every year. It is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar in which Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn to dusk.

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new app NADRA Pak ID for the convenience of citizens through which citizens will be able to create ID cards through smartphones.

NADRA Pak ID mobile app will save citizens from standing in long queues and waiting for hours at NADRA offices and all processing of applications for ID cards and other identification documents will be completed on mobile phones. Will be able and able to order ID cards or documents at home.

NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik said that the Pak ID mobile app includes a document recognition system and biometric authentication facility, thanks to which the entire process of creating identity documents can be completed through a smartphone.

Tariq Malik said that this mobile app will provide immense convenience to the citizens. Chairman NADRA said that “contactless technology” has been used in the development of this app, thanks to which citizens can take full advantage of modern digital facilities by creating identity documents through smartphones. He further said that citizens must inform us of their useful opinions through the survey given in this app.

Ramadan School Timings has also been changed in district Mandi Bahauddin. A notification issued by the Provincial Education Authority on Wednesday said that the Punjab Education Department has revised the school timings for the Holy month of Ramadan.

According to the new directives, the schools will commence at 7:30am till 12:30pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday while on Friday the educational institutes will open till 11:30am.

Schools that operate in two shifts will follow a different schedule. Double shift schools will start from 7:15 am to 12:30 pm in the first shift and will work in the second shift from 12:15 pm to 4:30 pm.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced on Tuesday that banks across the country will remain closed on Friday due to the deduction of Zakat.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Friday (March 24, 2023), which shall be observed as a ‘Bank Holiday’ for the purpose of deduction of Zakat,” a notification issued by the central bank said.

A notification issued by the central bank said that the State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealings on 24th March 2023, Friday, which will be observed as a ‘Bank Holiday’ for Zakat deduction.

Therefore, the central bank will remain closed for four days as March 23 (Thursday) is also a public holiday on account of Pakistan Day and the SBP remains closed on Saturday and Sunday.
