Mahnoor Cheema, a 16-year-old British-Pakistani student, has set a new record in the UK as well as internationally by passing an astonishing total of 34 GCSE subjects at the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) level.

Mahnoor Cheema passed 17 subjects with A* grade as a private candidate in year 10 and added another 17 subjects on Thursday. Taking the total count to 34 and setting a new milestone, the highest number of subjects taken by a student in the history of UK and EU GCSEs.

His desire to learn seems to extend far beyond GCSEs. Mahnoor has a deep passion for medicine and has said that she wants to dedicate her life and work to helping humanity. Driven by his ambitions to study medicine at Oxford University, he took the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) and Biomedical Admission Test (BMAT) at the age of 15, in which he scored in the 99th percentile of test-takers.

I came up with a score of 3,290. His passion for medicine, along with his outstanding track record, positions him as a promising medical professional of the future.
