In the past, the central bank used to issue fresh currency notes worth millions of rupees before Eid al-Fitr. However, since the coronavirus pandemic, this practice has been stopped. As a result, Pakistanis have had to make do with torn notes to celebrate Eid.

New currency notes on Eid 2025

Sources claim that the chances of new notes being issued on Eid 2025 are very slim. Although the State Bank has not made any official announcement regarding the issuance of new notes, it is unlikely that the central bank will issue new currency notes for Eid-ul-Fitr.

On the other hand, currency dealers will continue to sell new notes at high prices on the black market, as per tradition. This means that those who want to give new notes as Eid gifts will have to buy them at a higher price.

Saudi Arabia has announced Eid Al Fitr holidays for the year 2024/1445 for public and private sector employees.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced a 4-day holiday starting from Monday, April 8, 2024. The state’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced on Saturday that most employees will get four days off from Monday, April 8, 1445.

Ramadan Calendar 2024 – Sehri & Iftar Timing

Holidays from Monday to Saturday are given until Thursday, April 11, while Friday and Saturday are weekends in Saudi Arabia. Thus employees will be able to enjoy a total of 6 holidays.

According to the report, both private and public sector employees will resume work from Sunday, April 14. It should be noted that this year, the first fast in Saudi Arabia was observed on March 11.
