The government has started preparations for a further increase in the prices of petroleum products from March 1, 2024. According to media reports, the price of petroleum products is likely to increase after electricity and the government is preparing to increase the prices of petroleum products from March 1.
Petroleum division sources say that petrol is likely to be expensive by Rs 4.50 from March 1. The price of diesel may increase by Rs 2.50 per litre. The price of kerosene is expected to increase by Rs 2.92 paise per litre. However, the prices of light diesel oil are likely to remain unchanged.

OGRA will send the summary of petroleum products to the Ministry of Petroleum on February 29. The Finance Minister will announce the prices after consultation with the Prime Minister, after which the new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from March 1 to 15.
