Announcement of Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme by Punjab Government. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz announced a new scheme for families in Lahore. The Punjab government will initiate this initiative and more than 3000 apartments will be distributed among the poor in each district of Punjab. During the first phase of the project, one lakh flats will be constructed at six locations in Punjab province.
How to Apply for Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme?
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will develop an online portal for the ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme. This will enable eligible persons to easily apply for the scheme online. Details of the scheme can also be obtained from the offices of Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner of the concerned district.

Buyers will be able to avail the project with a 40% down payment and a monthly installment plan of Rs 26,000, with a 60% subsidy from the provincial government. Each flat is priced at Rs 1.5 million (15 lakhs).
Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme Announcement Date
According to the statement issued by the Chief Minister of Punjab, 14th August 2024 has been selected as the launch day. He also announced that only family members will be able to register for this scheme and the scheme will be launched in almost all districts of Punjab.
Apni Chat Apna Ghar scheme Eligibility Criteria
Following are some of the eligibility criteria to register for that scheme
- Citizenship or residency status in Pakistan.
- Age should not be less than 18 years
- Must provide source of income
- Adheres to the rules and regulations of the system
- Income should not exceed Rs 60,000 per month.
- Preference may be given to families in need of casework support or those with low incomes.
Apna Ghar Apni Chhat cities list
These are the cities of Punjab in which new apartments will be given by the government to the eligible people:
- Lahore
- Rawalpindi
- Faisalabad
- Sialkot
- Multan
- Sargodha
Under the pilot project, this scheme will be started in these six cities. Under this initiative, 3000 houses will be constructed in each district of Punjab.
