State Bank of Pakistan Will Issue 100 Rupee Coin

State Bank of Pakistan will issue a 100 rupee of coin in this? The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will release a commemorative coin of Rs 100 on Friday to mark the 10th anniversary of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The coin will be issued through exchange counters of State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation from August 11, 2023, a statement issued here on Thursday said.

The Govt of Pakistan has decided to issue a commemorative coin of Rs 100 in recognition of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor’s significant contribution to the country’s infrastructure and economic development since its inception in 2013.

The coin is circular in shape with serrations on the edge, diameter 30.00 mm, weight 13.5 grams and has cupro-nickel metal content, the statement said. At the top and center of the coin, an artistically designed five-pointed star is reflected.

The crescent moon and star in the national flag of Pakistan and the group of five stars in the national flag of China were also displayed in the right and left positions respectively within an artistically designed star.

The words “CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF CPEC” in English script and “ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN” in Urdu script were written with the upper and lower periphery of the star, while the two words were separated by two stars on the left and right sides.

The denomination of the coin is 100 and “Rupee” in Urdu script is written to the right and left of the star respectively.

All these words above and below were separated with two stars on the left and right side of the coin. While the years “2013” and “2023” were also written in numerals in the left and right center of the coins to denote the decade of high-quality development of CPEC.
