How many Pakistanis left the country in 2023?
According to the details, millions of Pakistanis went abroad in this year 2023 as well. In the year 2023, more than 8 lakh Pakistanis left the country. The largest number of citizens of Punjab said goodbye to the country. It was revealed that half of the number of those who went abroad belong to only 20 districts.
According to the Bureau of Immigration, more than 832 thousand Pakistani citizens went abroad in the year 2022. But in 11 months this number has crossed 8 lakh 5 thousand and it is expected that this number will reach 9 lakh. It has been reported that more than half of Pakistanis who left Pakistan this year belong to Punjab province. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on the second place.

Out of more than 8 lakh people who went abroad this year, more than 50 percent i.e. more than 457,000 people belong to Punjab. 225,000 people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 67,000 from Sindh, 8,000 from Baluchistan, 10,000 from the federal capital went abroad. It is further said that out of over 800,000 people who went abroad this year, 50 percent belonged to only 20 districts.
Sialkot has bagged the honor of sending the highest number of people abroad for the third time in a row. In 2023, maximum 33,483 workers went abroad from Sialkot. It has been reported that Doctors, Engineers, Bank Managers, IT specialists, Salesmen and General laborers are among those who migrate abroad for employment and a better future.
It should be noted that the number of Pakistanis going abroad has increased significantly during the last one year. It has been reported that the annual average number of Pakistanis going abroad from Pakistan was more than 200,000 before 2022, which has increased to more than 800,000 in just 2 years.
