Instant messaging application WhatsApp has tested the feature of searching messages by date in its beta version. Using the feature, users will be able to easily search for messages sent on a specific date.
A screenshot featured in the WhatsApp Beta Information Report shows a calendar button to search for messages in a conversation. Using which users will be able to quickly find messages sent on a specific date.
According to the report, this feature will not only save time but also save users from getting annoyed by going back to the chat history.

Additionally, this feature will help search for non-text messages like voice notes instead of text messages. Because voice notes have no text and written messages can only be searched by typing.
It should be noted that the company has made this trial feature available to beta users who have recently joined the official beta program of WhatsApp Web. But hopefully this feature will be rolled out to other users soon. However, no final date has been announced by the company.
