Punjab School Education Department (SED) has revised the new school timings from 15 October 2024 to 31 March 2025 in all government and private institutions. Notification issued.

New School Timings for Students:

According to the notification issued by SED, morning shift schools will run from Monday to Thursday from 08:45 am to 02:45 pm while classes will end at 12:30 pm on Friday.

For schools with double shifts and afternoon shifts, the morning session will be from 08:45 AM to 12:45 PM. The evening session will run from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and the Friday evening shift will run from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

NOTE: All schools will be closed for students on Saturday and Sunday.

New School Timings for Teachers:

The notice states that the working hours for teachers in single shift schools will be from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm from Monday to Thursday. Will work on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

In double-shift schools, teachers’ schedules will be 08:30 am to 01:00 pm for the morning shift and 12:45 pm to 05:30 pm for the evening shift, Monday through Thursday. Second shift school hours on Fridays will be from 02:00 pm to 05:30 pm.
