About 15 services and processes have been revised. One of the changes includes that a person’s residence visa will not be renewed if they stay outside the UAE for more than 6 months.
The ICA (Identity and Citizenship) has added additional options to cancel and change visa information for registered GCC nationals who do not hold Emirates ID. The changes also include services for extending a relative’s or friend’s visit visa for 30, 60, and 90 days for one or more visits and extending the visa’s pre-entry period.

Also, people can now print visa and residence details under the smart service system. A ‘PRAN Number’ is assigned to the financial receipt to identify the applications. The system also disabled delegate services, facility funds services, and other related features and authentication mechanisms.
Persons with disabilities are not required to submit fingerprints during applications for issuance, renewal and replacement of passports. A service has been launched to issue a group family visa for tourism, medical treatment, and companion of the patient, with single and multiple entry options for 60 and 180 days.
