Minister of Overseas Pakistanis Sajid Hussain Turi has said that the government will send 1 million Pakistanis abroad this year for employment opportunities.
Tori made the announcement in an exclusive interview to a private TV channel on Sunday. He added that ‘Saudi authorities will soon visit Pakistan to issue work permit visas and new agreements are being signed with 50 other countries including Germany, Greece and Romania’.
Minister Turi also said that Pakistanis who clear the technical training test will be eligible to get a Saudi visa. According to the minister, Japan has recently started issuing visas for Pakistani skilled workers, while South Korea needs 10,000 Pakistani skilled workers and plans to recruit them soon.
In addition, Pakistanis can now obtain work visas for Germany and Romania, and agreements are in place to provide professional and labor visas for Portugal and Greece.
