Final Decision About Winter Vacation In Punjab 2023

The weather will remain dry in most of the plains of the country

During the next 24 hours, the weather will remain dry in most of the plains and cold in the highlands. However, rain, wind and thundershowers are expected at isolated places in Kashmir along with snowfall over the mountains.

Mangla, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Joharabad, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas are likely to experience fog and smog in the morning hours.

Thirteen degrees Celsius was recorded in Islamabad, Lahore twenty one, Karachi twenty six, Peshawar fifteen, Quetta nine, Murree eight, Gilgit five and Muzaffarabad twelve.

According to the weather forecast for India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag are expected to witness partly cloudy weather with light rain. While the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in Jammu and Baramulla.

Srinagar, Baramulla and Pulwama recorded five degrees Celsius, Jammu fourteen, Leh minus two, Shopian and Anantnag six degrees Celsius.

Weather Update: A Cold Wave Is Expected In Pakistan Next Week

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said in the latest weather advisory that a cold wave is likely to hit Pakistan next week under the influence of fresh rain in some parts of the country and snowfall on the mountains.

A weather advisory issued by the Met Office said, “Westerly system is likely to enter upper parts on 13th October (evening/night) and spread over upper/central parts on 14th (night). ”

The PMD has forecast intermittent rain with thundershowers over the upper regions from the evening of October 13 to 17 including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Swabi, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kurram, Kohat, Hangu, Orakzai, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan.

Moderate to isolated heavy falls are expected in Kashmir’s Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur, and Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar areas of Gilgit Baltistan, during the same period.

From October 13 to 17, areas including Islamabad, Potohar region, Murree, Galiyat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Noorpurthal, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang and Kasur expected to witness similar weather conditions.

Snowfall is expected in the high mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and GB and hailstorm is also expected in the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile in Sindh and Balochistan, areas of Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Sanghar and Umerkot, and Sherani, Musa Khel, Zhob, Qilla Saifullah, Loralai, Barkhan, Kohlu, Sibbi, Bolan, Kalat, Harnai, Naseerabad, Dera Bugti, Jaffarabad, Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Quetta and Ziarat will receive rain with wind and thunderstorm on October 17 and 18.
