Winter vacations announced for schools, colleges 2025 in Punjab

The Punjab government has announced winter vacations for schools and colleges. All government and private schools will remain closed from December 23, 2024 to January 10, 2025. All Govt and private colleges in punjab will remain close from December 24, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Notification issued 

Universities will release their schedule. The Department of School Education (SED) and Higher Education (HED) has issued a notification.

The Punjab government has announced the official schedule for winter vacations in schools and colleges in the province. The vacations in Govt and private schools will begin on December 23, 2024 and will continue until January 10, 2025, with students and staff getting 20 days off. All Schools will reopen on January 12, 2025 (Monday).

Similarly, according to the notification issued by Higher Education Department (HED) punjab, all govt and private colleges will remain close from 24th December, 2024 to 5th January, 2025. All colleges will reopen on 6th January, 2025 (Monday).

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that Punjab winter vacations will not be extended in educational institutions across the province. All Government and private schools across Punjab will reopen on Wednesday 10 January 2024 with revised timings.

However, he said school hours will be adjusted due to extreme weather. Read a post by Mohsin Naqvi on social media platform ‘X’, fondly called Twitter.

“Due to the ongoing winter wave, schools will resume on January 10, 2024. From January 10 to 22, schools will begin at 9:30 a.m. Jackets and warm clothing are highly advised,”
