Big increase in prices of ghee and cooking oil

Cooking equipment has become expensive. The prices of major brands of ghee and cooking oil have increased significantly.

According to the details, inflation based on the SPI index increased by 0.38%, mainly due to the increase in the prices of tomatoes, wood, vegetable ghee, cooking oil and sugar.

During the price hike, the price of cooking oil increased by Rs 80 per kg, after which the price reached Rs 570. Some major brands have increased their prices by Rs 100 per kg and liter. The main reason for the price hike is the change in palm oil prices, which have fluctuated between $ 1290-1300 per ton.

The price of five kilos of Meezan cooking oil is Rs 3,100, the price of a five-liter carton of Meezan canola oil is Rs 2,800. The price of a five-liter carton of Sufi canola cooking oil is Rs 2,900, the price of a three-liter bottle of cooking oil has reached Rs 1,585.
