Petrol prices are expected to decrease in Pakistan from February

Petrol and diesel prices are expected to decrease from February 16, 2025, with prices likely to drop by Rs 2-3 per liter in the second half of this month.

The federal government is expected to provide relief to the public ahead of the holy month of Ramadan amid a decline in international rates.

Sources said that the price of petrol is likely to fall to Rs 255 while the price of diesel is likely to remain at Rs265 per liter. The price adjustment takes place amid fluctuations in the global oil market and the implementation of the Inland Freight Equalization Margin (IFEM).

The final decision will be taken by the Prime Minister after the OGRA’s proposal and the new prices will be announced by the end of the week.
