Prices of Ghee and Cooking Oil fell sharply

There is good news for Pakistanis suffering from inflation that the price of Banaspati Ghee and Cooking Oil has come down.

According to reports, the branded Cooking Oil available at Rs 550 per kg has become cheaper by Rs 440 to Rs 450. Meezan Cooking Oil has come down to Rs 450 from Rs 550, while Olive Oil has come down to Rs 350 from Rs 450. Canola Oil has come down from Rs 480 to Rs 375 and Mustard Oil has come down to Rs 350 from Rs 450 in Pakistan.

On the other hand, prices have also decreased at the global level. The prices of cooking oil per ton in the world market decreased from $4,243 to $3,866. After which further reduction in cooking oil and banaspati ghee prices is expected.

Govt Has Reduced The Prices Of Ghee And Cooking Oil In Pakistan

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the government of Pakistan has reduced the prices of ghee and edible oil at utility stores.

In his message on social networking site Twitter, Ishaq Dar said that prices of ghee and edible oil have been reduced at utility stores. The price of Tyrone brand ghee has been reduced by Rs. 69 and the price of cooking oil has been reduced by Rs. 76 per litre.

He said that the price of subsidized ghee has reached Rs 490 per kg. The price of Tyrone Ghee is Rs 545 to Rs 577 per kg. The price of Tyrone cooking oil is Rs 540 to 590 per kg.

The Finance Minister said that the price of second grade ghee is Rs 20 per kg less than the market price. Tier 1 ghee at utility stores is Rs 8 to Rs 35 per kg cheaper than the market. Tier one cooking oil is Rs 40 to 78 cheaper than the market.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that reduction in prices of ghee and edible oil at utility stores will be implemented immediately.
