Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has once again increased the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max  taxes again. This is actually surprising as the taxes on these phones have increased manifold in recent months. Due to this, the overall price of the phone has increased significantly. Of course, the iPhone is a luxury brand in the smartphone market, and in countries like Pakistan, you have to pay a hefty tax to use it with SIM coverage.

However, such a high price makes it a symbol of luxury and status. This is because only the rich section of the society can afford it, which creates a social divide in the society.
