History:

The Lak لک tribe is spread all over the world. But most of the Lak tribes are found in abundance in Arab countries. There are an estimated two million tribes in Iran and quite a few in Iraq. People of the Lak race are bold, courageous and fearless in nature.

In Pakistan, Laks are found in large numbers in various parts of the country and mostly in Sargodha in Punjab. One Lak village is located in Tehsil Phalia District Mandi Bahauddin. There are quite a number of Laks in this village who are very fond of Chaudharahat. According to a genealogy, it is believed that the people of this village came from the village of Lak in Sargodha.

لک قبیلہ پوری دنیا میں پھیلا ہوا ہے لیکن زیادہ تر لک قبائل عرب ممالک میں کثرت سے پائے جاتے ہیں ایران میں ایک اندازے کے مطابق بیس لاکھ قبائل اور عراق میں بھی کافی حد تک پائے جاتے ہیں لک نسل کے لوگ دلیر جرات مند اور نڈر طبعیت کے حامل ہیں پاکستان میں لک ملک کی محتلف حصوں اور زیادہ تر پنجاب میں سرگودھا میں کافی تعداد میں لک نسل میں پائے جاتے ہیں ۔۔۔۔ ایک لک گاؤں تحصیل پھالیہ ضلع منڈی بہاوالدین میں واقع ہے اس گاؤں میں کافی تعداد میں لک موجود ہیں جو بہت زیادہ چودھراہٹ کے شوقین ہیں ایک شجرہ کے مطابق لوگوں کا قیاس ہے کہ اس گاؤں کے لوگ سرگودھا کے گاؤں لک سے آئے ہیں۔
