Councilor Qaiser Abbas Gondal was first elected as a councilor by the Labor Party in 2018 and resigned to join the Conservative Party in 2022 due to differences with Labor Party policies and was a Labor Party candidate in the same May election. He was re-elected as a councilor after defeating him from his protected constituency.


Due to his political, academic and social experience, he was appointed Cabinet Member for Cultural Communities in 2022 and was later given the additional portfolio of the Department of Community Safety.

In the short span of the past few years, he has done countless things and played a role in bringing communities together. In his council, he proposed separate cemeteries for Muslims and Nepalese, free funeral services for Muslims, prayer services for Hindu, Tamil and Kenyan communities, halal meals in schools for Muslim children, a memorial to the Bosnian Muslim massacre. proposed. Launching Barclays Bank and Citizens Advice in the library and meeting with representatives of over 60 religious, social and charitable organizations to address their issues on a priority basis.

Councilor Qaiser Abbas Gondal is also the General Secretary of the British Pakistani Councilors Forum South England and the Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Punjab Bar Council.

He has also received awards from various institutions and mayors, including the BBC, in recognition of his political and social services. He belongs to a well-known political family of Mandi Bahauddin district of Pakistan.

His father Chaudhry Muhammad Inayat Gondal was the founding member of People’s Party and District Finance Secretary, Chairman of Members Committee of Tehreek-e-Insaf Gujranwala Division and Vice-Chairman of Tehsil Aman Committee and his younger brother Faisal Gondal has been the leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
