The world’s most popular messaging app WhatsApp is used by everyone nowadays and people mostly use this app to communicate with each other. WhatsApp is soon going to introduce “Whatsapp Chat Lock Feature” that will allow users to lock and hide their private chats.

According to the reports, the lock chat option will remove chats from WhatsApp’s on-screen inbox and place them in a new folder that can only be opened with a password or biometric.

ChatLock will protect your most private chats and hide notifications, WhatsApp’s parent company Metta calls it a new innovation in security.

This feature gives WhatsApp users options to encrypt their backups, block screenshots and hide chats. Meta Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg confirmed the new feature in a Facebook post.
