The moon of Shaban al-Mu’azzam has been sighted. The date of Shab e Barat 2025 according to Islamic Calendar has been announced in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held a meeting in Islamabad to sight the moon of Shaban 1446 AH. Reports of moon sighting were received from different parts of the country.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting to sight the Shaban moon in Pakistan was held in Islamabad on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan. Meetings of the zonal committees were also held in their respective headquarters in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.

History of Shab e Barat

After the moon was sighted from different parts of the country, Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad announced that the 1st of Shaban 1446 AH will be on Friday, January 31, while Shab-e-Barat will be on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Earlier, Japan was the first country in the world to announce the date of the beginning of the month of Shaban 1446 AH. Japan’s Crescent Sighting Committee has announced regarding the sighting of the month of Shaban that the month of Shaban 1446 AH will begin in the country on Friday, January 31.

It should be noted that according to the predictions of astronomers, the birth of the moon of the month of Shaban occurred.

Rather, Allah Almighty gives a special status to any night He wishes. This is His way of giving His servants the opportunity to draw close to Him and seek His pleasure.
