3 more bank holidays have been announced in Pakistan. In this regard, all the banks of the country will be closed for 3 days.

30th and 31st Saturday and Sunday are bank holidays in Pakistan. Monday 1st January 2024 is also a bank holiday to celebrate the New Year. Thus bank employees will enjoy 3 holidays together.

Banks will be closed for 3 days on 23, 24 and 25 December

Due to 3-day holiday and bank closure, salary of provincial employees for current month will be paid on Friday 29th December 2023.

All public and private banks in the country will remain closed on 3rd March, 2025 Monday, 2nd Ramadan, due to the deduction of Zakat

The State Bank of Pakistan has said that banks will remain closed on Monday, 2nd Ramadan, for the deduction of Zakat. The announcement said that the banking sector will remain closed for public transactions on 1st Ramadan.

The caretaker government has slashed of all brands of banaspati ghee and oil prices at utility stores of Pakistan, to provide relief to inflation-weary people who are paying record high prices for food and fuel.

In a major development, the price of popular ghee brands has been reduced by Rs 60 to Rs 394 per kg. Earlier, ghee was available at Rs 455, with prices of lesser-known brands hovering at record highs.

Similarly, the prices of cooking oil have also been reduced despite the high inflation in the crisis-hit country.

Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported on Monday that consumer price index (CPI) inflation rose to 31.4 percent during September 2023 compared to the same month last year.

According to the PBS data, the inflation increased to 27.4 percent during the last month (August) while it was recorded at 23.2 percent during September 2022.

On a month-on-month basis, inflation rose to 2.0 percent in September 2023 from 1.7 percent in the previous month and declined to 1.2 percent in September 2022.

Village Bahri باہری is in Tehsil phalia district Mandi Bahauddin having area of 3,300 acres. Its round about 12 km from phalia in south and 6 km from village Qadirabad in east. It is situated at small road from Ranmal Shareef to Qadirabad.

History:

Round about 2 centuries before village Bahri was in district Gujranwala then due to flood reasons it became part of the river and people of that village were divided into two parts, some came in Mandi Bahauddin area and other were gone to Hafizabad district. At that time there was Chaudhry Alam in Hafizabad Bahri and a Sahibzada sahib was in mandian Bahri. Nowadays river is in the boundary of hafizabadi bahri.
