US free visas for 43 countries under Visa Waiver Program 2025

Citizens of 43 countries can now enter the United States without a visa for up to 90 days under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), but they must meet specific requirements and have a valid ESTA approval.

However, stays must not exceed 90 days, and travelers must secure an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before boarding.

ESTA is a web-based system operated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection that determines eligibility for travel under the VWP.

You have dual citizenship with Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria.
Such individuals are not eligible for ESTA and must apply for a traditional B-1/B-2 visitor visa.

The United State embassy and consulates in Pakistan have said it is working to reduce visa appointment wait times for Pakistanis, as demand for its visas reaches an “all-time high”. In a press release, the US embassy said that it is processing more visa applications than ever before and is working hard to reduce appointment wait times.

“Demand for US visas is at an all-time high,” he said. The statement highlight three ways the embassy is working to meet the “unprecedented” demand.

The Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab requested the number of vacant seats for the upcoming Jobs/recruitment of College Teaching Interns (CTI) from all colleges across the province for the recruitment of CTI for the session 2025-26.

According to the letter shared by Director Public Instruction (College) Punjab, the department has received demand of 9510 CTIs from the public sector colleges of the Punjab for the year 2025-26, whereas, in the year 2024-25 this demand was 7,140.

The letter said that the current demand has increased upto 2,370 number of CTIS. The competent authority has desired that the increase in demand of CTIs may be justified.

Candidates with high qualification and experience will be preferred.

For Graduate Colleges (BS Colleges): MS/M.Phil./Ph.D. (However, in such a case, no candidate has applied for M.A/M.Sc.)
For all other colleges including community colleges: Master’s degree / BS (FYDP) in a relevant subject with a minimum of 2nd division.
Age Limit: There is no age limit for the applicant.

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Rasul District Mandi Bahauddin

The University of Engineering and Technology, Rasul, district Mandi Bahauddin, has a long history of its development and expansion. It started in 1873 as a School of Surveying in Oriental College, Lahore under the Punjab University. Over the years, the location and field of study expanded.

The present campus (over 216 acres land) was established in Rasul in 1912 to better meet the need of the growing population. In 1962 the school fell under the leadership of West Pakistan. The school was named as Government School of Engineering & Polytechnic Institute Rasul and 3 years diploma in Civil Technology was introduced under the Education Department of West Pakistan.

On October 10, 1974 the school was upgraded as the Government College of Technology under the Educational Policy of 1972 and B-Tech degree classes were also started in Construction and Public Health. In 1998, the college was put under the administration of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) of the Government of Punjab, Pakistan. In October 2008 there were 4062 student; at the college’s peak there were 6,000 students. In 2011, the TEVTA replaced the B-Tech programme with 4 years B.Sc. Civil Engineering Technology in affiliation with UET Lahore.

In April 2014, the Chief Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, upgraded the college to University of Engineering and Technology, Rasul. The college will continue the diploma programme along with the following degree programmes during 2014-15.

The UK government has increased the national minimum wage 2024. The recommendations on NLW and NMW rates have been fully accepted by the government and will come into effect from 1 April 2024. NLW and NMW rates will be applicable from April 2024.

Government Has Increased The Daily Wages Rates 2023

Accepting the Low Pay Commission’s recommendations this year, the government also lowered the age at which people qualify for the National Wage, from 23 to 21. This means employees aged 21 and 22 who are currently on the National Minimum Wage of £10.18 will receive a £1.26 or 12.6% rise to £11.44.

And younger workers will also get a bumper pay rise from April 2024, with 18 to 20 year-olds seeing their pay rise by 14.8% to £8.10, while 16 to 17 year-olds and apprentices A 21.2% increase to £6.40. The new rates take the NLW to two-thirds of an hour’s pay on average for those aged 21 and over.

The Low Pay Commission (LPC) was asked to monitor and evaluate the National Living Wage (NLW) and recommend the rate which should apply from April 2024 in order to reach two-thirds of median earnings (of those eligible for the National Living Wage) by 2024, taking economic conditions into account. The government is committed to raising the age limit for the National Living Wage to 21 years and above by 2024.
