Sources said that the price of petrol is likely to fall to Rs 255 while the price of diesel is likely to remain at Rs265 per liter. The price adjustment takes place amid fluctuations in the global oil market and the implementation of the Inland Freight Equalization Margin (IFEM).

The final decision will be taken by the Prime Minister after the OGRA’s proposal and the new prices will be announced by the end of the week.

Ramadan 2025 is just a few days away. Students and parents are eagerly awaiting the new school hours for the month of Ramadan. No changes have been made to school timings in Ramadan 2025 in all government and private institutions in Punjab, Pakistan.

But it is being revealed that in a few days, the School Education Department of Punjab will issue a notification of new working hours in all government and private schools and colleges across the province.

Expected Ramadan School Timings in Punjab

If the working hours of schools are changed during Ramadan, according to the new hours, boys’ schools will open from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, while educational institutions will open until 12:30 am on Friday.

While girls’ schools will open at 8:15 am and close at 12:45 pm from Monday to Thursday, on Fridays girls’ schools will open from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm.

Schools that operate in two shifts will follow a different schedule. Double-shift schools will open from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on the first shift and from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm on the second shift, Monday through Thursday. On Friday, second-shift schools will open from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

It is also expected that the morning assembly will remain closed during the holy month of Ramadan. School timings for ECE and Nursery may be from 08:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

The Sindh government has officially revised a notification outlining school timings for Ramadan 2025, which will be observed in all primary, elementary, high and higher secondary schools across the province, including Karachi.

The updated hours will apply to both single-shift and double-shift schools throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

Revised school timings for Ramadan 2025

According to the revised notification, all single-shift primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools in Sindh will open at 08:00 am and close at 12:30 am from Monday to Thursday and Saturday.

On Friday, all schools will open at 08:00 am and will close at 11:30 am.

Similarly, all double-shift primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools in Sindh will open at 7:30 am and close at 11:30 am during the morning shift from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. During the evening shift, these schools will open from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm.

On Friday, double shift school open open 11:45 am and will close at 1:15 pm.

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new visit visa policy 2025 for 14 countries, including Pakistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tunisia and Yemen. 

Saudi authorities have suspended one-year multiple-entry visas for tourism, business and family visits, and visitors from these countries can now only obtain single-entry visas.

The change is aimed at preventing people from performing Hajj illegally, as some individuals were using long-term visit visas to bypass the government’s Hajj quota. The new policy came into effect on February 1, 2025.

To visit Saudi Arabia, visitors from 14 countries will need to apply for a single-entry visa, which is valid for 30 days and has a maximum stay of 30 days per visit.

Once these steps are completed, applicants will be notified when Hajj package bookings are available. The ministry also clarified that priority will be given to those who have not performed Hajj before.
