Dhok Shahaani ڈھوک شہانی or Dhok Shahani It is approximately 13 km east of the city of Mandi Bahuddin. East side is Murala and village Chak Basawa is in the west, Chorund is in the South and Dhok Daud in the North of Dhok Shahanni.

History of Village:

Dhok Shahaani village is an old village and is about 150 years old and setup by English rulers. Before the partition of Indien Sub-continent, there lived Sikh, Hindu and Muslims in this village.

The name of the village was given after the English Rulers divided all area of district Mandi-Bahauddin in small parts and many Chaks and Ghoks. And this village was also called Ghok and when the English rulers left Sub-Continent then this village got the name as Dhok and because that time in this village were settled Syed Caste and this village got the name as Dhok Shahaani (Syed).

In this village there are 2 very old buildings and also all houses are made of bricks and 5 houses are built very modern. In this village there are 5 mosques and 2 graveyards. There is also one brick factory. Almost all houses in this village are facilitated with Lightening and Telephone. Internet is also available.

And at this place, no bird or animal made dirty and after that the people of the village made here on Mazar and named it as Pir Gujha. Every year thousands of people come to this Mazar for fulfilling of their wishes and pay money on this Mazar to fulfil their wishes

Some information about the history of Virk family, Syed family and Warraich family: 

Syed: This family is the first family who shifted to this village. In the beginning all land of this village belong to this family but later when they were not able to pay tax (Beyana) of their lands they divided land of this village in other families like Virk and Warriach. The most famous personality in the history of this village was Late Haider Shah.

He was very noble and Mehman-nawaz. If any unknown person come to this village and he needed to live overnight and food then he becomes that from this great personality as guest. And that’s why when Haider Shah died, the biggest gathering in funeral was in his funeral in the history of this village. He lived about 110 years.

Virk: Virk family shifted from village Noshira Virkan to this village. They were Sikh in religion in the beginning but later they accepted Islam. They came to this village with all their animals and also some wealth (Money). They took land from Syed family.

Warraich: They came to this village and in the beginning their profession was to amuse people by playing monkey. They kept monkey and went to village to village to earn daily livings.

Location:

Sainthal Sharif سینتھل شریف village is located in District Mandi Bahauddin, Tehsil Phalia near small city Pharanwali. It is away from Pharinwali upto seven (07) KM. Sainthal is located north-west side from small city Paharanwali.

Brief History:

Sainthal is historical village. It is said that there was a village, there name was Soa (100) thal about 1871 before this village that now name is Sainthal. In this old village Soathal Muslims, Hindus and Sikh brathri lived together but after come into existence of Pakistan, Hindu and Sikh brother go away from Soathal to India. The new village Sainthal is now existed about half KM away on the east side of the old village Soathal and the new name of my village is Sainthal.

Village Pipli پپلی is located in District Mandi Bahauddin. It is away from District Mandi Bahauddin upto 63 KM and 40 KM from Tehsil Phalia.

Area of the Village:

Total area of the village is about 48 squares that is about 1,200 acres in which no one in the village contain more than 40 acres so no one is a big fish but it is almost equally distributed among prominent families.

Population:

It is not a very big village only about 300 houses are in it and about 1,800 peoples live in them. All the population of the village is Muslim among them all are Sunni & Shia. No non-Muslim is there in the village.

Village Mureed مرید is in Tehsil Phalia District Mandi Bahauddin. It is situated 13 km south of city Phalia and 34 km in south of Mandi Bhauddin, city Qadir Abad is 17 km from mureed in west.

History:

Founder of  the village was Mureed and he belongs to Tarar family. Village Mureed is at the Bank of River. This village was in District Hafiz abad before flood came. Its was near Manga Choki before, then people migrated here due to flood reasons.

Gajjan, Suleman, Kot Hamid Shah, Thatti Mureed, Phalia, Jaisak. are from the sons of Mureed. Later on Village became very famous due to Chaudery Sardar Khan s/o Wazeer khan and Chaudeery Sardar Khan  s/o Rahmat Khan.

History:

A Man named as Sher Shah came from Och Sharif and lived in Dugal shareef. Haral and Sayyed Shah are from his sons which came from duggal and started to live here. Lakhia, Channi,Kot Nabi Shah, Kot Hamid Shah, Duggal all are from Sher Shah’s sons.

This was basically Taras village, but later on they migrated from here then other families came. Each casts people are living here.

Location:

This village Long لونگ is at Jokalian, Asadullah pur road. Its 26 Km from Gujrat in west and 42 km from Mandi Bahauddin in south east. Phalia is just 22 km in the west of the village. Its at the bank of river chenab.

History:

Long was from the sons of Thakkar. Long ,Narang were brothers. They came from the river area due to flood reasons. Long started living here so this village was later known as Long at his name. Way before, Bhilol dotarran wala is near Bhirri shah raham, from where ,these people came. Then they lived in Rasul Nagar but later on Govt Allotted them this area of Long. In 1857 ,they Battle between Sikhs and English was held here in Long’s area. This battle was held in Chillianwala ,where 57 men were wounded and 26 men were killed.
